Words that used to mean one thing now mean another.

This cluster maps terms that frame political positions as medical threats, hostile infiltration, or biological facts. The vocabulary here does not describe disagreements — it terminates them. When your opponent is a virus, a groomer, or subhuman, there is nothing left to discuss. The language forecloses the debate it appears to be part of.

What this cluster makes visible: the mechanism by which ordinary political conflict is transformed into something that justifies extraordinary responses.

The question this cluster asks: what kind of response does this language make seem reasonable?

Terms in this cluster

Anti-Woke

Reactive counter-force entirely defined by what it opposes. Remove the target and the identity dissolves.

Conspirituality

Portmanteau of conspiracy and spirituality. Wellness as an on-ramp to extremist ideology.

Deadnaming

Old names remain findable. The right to be forgotten collides with digital permanence — and identity is in the middle.

Deep State

Two incompatible definitions sharing one term: permanent bureaucracy (academic) and secret elite (populist). The confusion is useful.

Dehumanization

Bandura’s mechanism: framing people as less than human to remove the inhibition against harming them.

Deplatforming

Removal from platforms as a countermeasure. Effective at reducing reach. Contested as a solution.

Doxing

Publishing private data to intimidate or harm. A weapon that requires no technical expertise — only motivation. (new V10)

Great Replacement

Conspiracy theory migrated from niche forums to mainstream political discourse. The distribution infrastructure changed faster than the content.

Groomer

Semantic capture: a child safety term repurposed as a political weapon. The original meaning does not disappear — it is borrowed.

Purity Culture

Obsession with the pure body as political metaphor. The logic connects clean eating, anti-vaccination, and ethnonationalism.

QAnon

Conspiracy theory as platform phenomenon. Began on an imageboard, reached parliaments.

Social Contagion

Medical vocabulary applied to transgender identity. The scientific framing lends authority the evidence does not support.

Subhuman

Explicit dehumanisation language. Every historical instance of its use preceded something worse.

Wellness-to-Alt-Right Pipeline

Documented pathway from health communities to extremist ideology. The algorithm built the bridge.

Woke Mind Virus

Political conviction framed as contagion. If a belief is a virus, its holders are infected — not persuaded.
